Lee-Anne Wilson – Managing Director
Happenings Australia was formed in 1992 by Lee-Anne Wilson. An award winning company specialising in event management and coordination the business has successfully grown from a one person home based operation to currently employing 7 staff in both Sydney and Melbourne.
After completing form 5, Lee-Anne was determined to find employment and literally walked the streets of Melbourne. She landed her first job with ANA Health Insurance as a filing clerk.
Before establishing Happenings Australia she held a range of positions in a wide cross sections of business.
Lee-Anne gained most of her business expertise from working for an entrepreneur for 10 years. His philosophy was to throw you in the deep end where you either sink or swim – she swam!
Lee-Anne has the drive, passion and vision that has forged the business to be one of the best and most professional Event Company's in Australia.
Mandy Bromilow – General Manager
Mandy brings extensive senior management experience from within the industry from both the UK and Australia to her role as General Manager of Happenings Australia. With over 20 years experience in conference and event industry management, Mandy has steered companies which have been the recipients of some of the highest industry awards.
Arriving in Australia 24 years ago, Mandy worked in a range of hotel managerial positions with leading Melbourne Hotels. As well as equipping her with a high level of expertise in dealing with areas such as rate negotiation, sales & marketing, food & beverage management and staffing, these roles have given her an in-depth knowledge of conferences, events and tours, and the specific and varied needs of both clients and delegates.
This experience has proved to be invaluable as she is able to expertly negotiate with conference & event venues and hotels to guarantee the best service and facilities for Happenings Australia clients. Mandy has over the years assumed responsibility for the management of National & International Conferences, Exhibitions and Events ranging in size from 50-5,000 participants.
